About The GEC
Green certificates are divided into gratuitous green certificates and tradable green certificates.
Gratuitous green certificates for renewable energy power consumption accounting, offsetting the national and regional energy consumption dual-control indicators;
Tradable green certificates through green certificates, green power trading and other means of power generation enterprises and users between the paid transfer.

Relevant Policies
The Idea
On August 3, 2023, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), the Ministry of Finance (MOF), and the National Energy Administration (NEA) jointly issued the Notice on Doing a Good Job in the Full Coverage of Renewable Energy Green Power Certificates to Promote Renewable Energy Power Consumption, which has a great impact on Green Electricity Certificates, and is expected to change its rules in many ways, thus opening up a new stage of development for Green Electricity Certificates.
